What is the Induction Banquet?

The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum host's an annual Induction banquet in May of each year in Red Deer, Alberta. More than 600 people from across the provinces and United States attend this gala event to honour Alberta’s great athletes, sport builders, pioneers, and media personal. At this prestigious event 10 extraordinary Albertans that have made an impact on sport in our province, county and around the world are honoured. The event not only honours these great Albertans but it recognizes the importance of sport in our lives and communities.

Athletes, Builders, and Media personal, make up the list of Inductees. Athletes include participants and winners of Olympic performances, and World Championships.  Builders include those who have contributed endless hours in their respective sports making them what they are today. These Albertans have contributed to the continuous growth of their sport and are truly deserving of this honour. Inductees are true ambassadors of Alberta and have helped put Alberta on the sports map of Canada and the World.
