The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame & Museum has various volunteer opportunities though out the year. Volunteers play a very important part of our Induction banquet and golf tournament success. Managing archives and creating exhibits requires creativity and skill; volunteers are in need to share their expertise. During the year the ASHFM has an opportunity to host special events and can always use the helping hands of volunteers.

If you have an interest in sports, history, special events, or simply enjoy making a difference, we invite you join our great volunteer team! Volunteering is a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, increase your knowledge and have fun - all in a museum setting! Our volunteers are a diverse and talented group of people, who enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience with others, making friends, and experiencing rewarding volunteer opportunities.
 
Individuals, retirees, families, and students of all ages are welcome and we will try to cater to personal interest as much as possible. We offer long-term or short-term opportunities throughout the year with no obligations. Volunteer time is based on the availability of the volunteers and the needs of the particular area.
 
For this position, volunteer hours must be completed between Monday and Friday, 9am to 5pm.
                 

Responsibilities may include

  • Data entry into database
  • Sorting and filing documents and records
 

Qualifications

  • At least sixteen years or older
  • Organized and attentive to details
  • Work independently and as a team member
